Architecture and development of an analytics platform (Voice of Customer): a Next.js application with PostgreSQL, machine learning components and a Stripe integration for the subscription model. The Azure infrastructure is provisioned with Terraform, deployments run via GitHub Actions.

What makes this project special: the entire development process is built around coding agents.

Modernization of an energy trading platform that has grown over the years: upgrading the tech stack, implementing the pricing logic for a new contract type and noticeably speeding up critical financial reports through database tuning and parallelization.

In addition, the local development environment was fully containerized and the CI/CD pipelines became more reliable with Testcontainers. An Azure Function developed with coding agents has since made error analysis in the live environment considerably easier.

Development of event-driven KYC and migration workflows as well as reactive API integrations with banks and identity providers (incl. 2FA).

Core business logic was migrated to CQRS and reactive programming, and the tech stack was upgraded to Spring Boot 3.1. Distributed tracing brought significantly more clarity to system monitoring.

Further topics included regulatory requirements (tax exemption orders, AML), automating recurring data corrections and reducing technical debt.

Further development of the central platform that business customers use to order various energy products.

Alongside the large Java application, several microservices were built with Spring Boot, Kotlin, TypeScript and React – including API design, Kafka integration and running on Kubernetes in Azure.

Development of the backend service for the new marketplace: managing and processing product and order data from external merchants, integrating with the existing IT landscape, and designing the internal and public APIs.

Co-development of a new service for calculating the available pickup and delivery time slots for online orders.

Further development of the online shop’s checkout microservices, including the integration of external services such as Payback. After a company merger, migrating the customer data was added to the scope.

Traveling through Thailand and Bali.

Design and development of decentralized components (microservices) to improve the stability and maintainability of the logistics platform.
